I’ve honestly not experienced better skiing on this continent. The snow was perfect, the runs were long, the lifts were reasonably fast, the weather was darn near ideal (at least for the first day), and the company was wonderful. Had a great time. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Snowshoe for a 3 or 4 day trip. There aren’t as many slopes as a European resort or one out west, but enough to keep one occupied and entertained for a good long while. Most of them are concentrated on one particular side of the mountain, but on the other side there are two, both black diamonds (one a double black) that are each a mile and a half long. They make for some great skiing, all the more since the quad lift at the bottom of them is really fast. Aaron and I got in about three runs on one in half an hour or so.<\/p>\n
I couldn’t imagine the trip going better than it did. We only made a few wrong turns on the way up, the conversation in the car was great, the hotel was good (with an indoor pool, twin jacuzzis, and a bar with a pool table), and it wasn’t terribly expensive, either. We even found a great mom & pop place to eat on Monday night. If only I could have stopped worrying about work the whole time things would have been perfect.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Skiing was amazing.
