I should’ve gone into work today and worked on the Gazette. I don’t even have a printout for tomorrow morning… It’s going to be crazy in there for the first few hours; I know it.<\/p>\n
It’s freaking cold in here. Even several layers didn’t avail me today as the wind just up and blew right through me. Didn’t spend more time outside than I absolutely had to.<\/p>\n
The weekend was fairly good. My birthday proper was yesterday. Thank you to everyone who contacted me with well-wishes–it really, really made me feel great. Verbal affirmation is one of my big means of receiving appreciation, so know that your words meant a lot, possibly more than you know, if words aren’t as much of a conduit for affection for you as they are for me. I hope that made sense.<\/p>\n
Hung out with the family yesterday evening. My mom cooked me a celebratory dinner–I requested chicken in a white sauce with cooked carrots, mashed potatoes, broccoli, and a nice white wine to tie it all together. My dad had a bottle of the Biltmore Estate white left–it was strong, but good, and it complemented the meal well.<\/p>\n
