Fuel pressure is nominal again. I went out to the garage last night to fix the tank clog. Most of the fuel had already drained into the trunk of the car since that where I set down the tank (it’s removed through the trunk), but clearing all that out was just a matter of pulling the drain plugs in the bottom of the trunk and letting the fuel drain into the pan. I took the tank out of the car completely, removed the fuel sender and swished fuel around in the tank to loosen up the accumulated sludge. You wouldn’t believe the amount of crud in that tank, and I didn’t even get it all out (I couldn’t). But I got the tank bolted back in and filled up. The fuel pump is marginally happier. The situation’s not ideal, but at least I have an operational car again.<\/p>\n
