Fitful sleep last night… I had slept a good eight hours on Sunday night, and took a two-hour nap (much needed) yesterday, so on top of the illness it was doubly hard to get to sleep. Tossed and turned when I did, too. Don’t remember the specifics of what I dreamed about, but they were the frantic, off and on dreams, like a stone skipping on the surface of sleep… Not much fun.<\/p>\n
But I’m here. It’s my first day as a “permanent” employee, so I made an extra effort to get here a little earlier than 8. I think the routine and consistency will be good for me–one less thing to stress about (and yes, it is stressful to not feel like you’re being a good employee–well, at least it is for me).<\/p>\n
Found myself singing “Complainte de la Butte” this morning on the way to work, in between bites of peanut butter muffin halves. Dunno why.<\/p>\n
