It reminds me of driving through the Appalachians in western North Carolina with the family on the way to my grandmother&#8217;s house in Hayesville.  That town is about as far west as you can get without crossing the border into Tennessee.  We had the Michael Card cd and we&#8217;d play it over and over as I sat in the back, letting the landscape move across my eyes, head on palm.  David and Paul sat in front of me, sleeping or reading, and Mom and Dad were in the front, talking low about something of parental consequence, no doubt.<\/p>\n<p>I thought about the past, the moments passing, and the future, where I would go, what I would do.  The scope of the song for me allowed my mind to step back a way farther from the timeline of my life, and view its events with a sense of increased relevance between them.
