Most prominently, other than the fact that it&#8217;s been cleaned, is the dining area, which was substantially revamped and looks quite cozy now, in contrast to the previous makeshift, cardboard box look.  <\/p>\n<p>I talked the permanent position over with Betty last Friday, and I think I&#8217;m going to take it.  The big unknown at this point is whether I&#8217;ll be able to request off enough time for our trip to Europe.  I think I can arrange it but I&#8217;m not sure.<\/p>\n<p>I wish I had something of substance, not just for the fact that this journal is read by various people (all four of you), but just for myself.  When I don&#8217;t have anything substantial to share, or a recent revelation I&#8217;ve had, or anything of that nature, I feel like it reflects on my thought life and the tack that my existence in general is taking.  It&#8217;s not true, but&#8230;  Where am I?  Surrounded by snow, a blanket of whiteness&#8230;  Metaphor for something?  Perhaps.
