Apparitions around the Carolina Inn as I was driving to the Gazette this morning stay with me… Purely surreal. Don’t know quite why it comes between me and the screen, but it does. It shouldn’t, but… I can’t reason with the feelings that wheel around inside almost instinctively. Don’t know what I’m talking about? Good.<\/p>\n
Somewhat later, here I am. Went to Subway for lunch, picked up M&M’s (the crispy variety) from HT for the dispenser we have here at the Gazette office, drove back, endured the frustrations of Scott and Dan (our staff photographer) over a photo we can’t use for the front page anymore because the subject, playing basketball, thinks he looks too “intense.” Ah well. We’ll figure something out. Petty things. All of it.<\/p>\n
