Finally, finally saw <i>Gladiator<\/i> last night.  I don&#8217;t know why I hadn&#8217;t seen it before now.  I&#8217;m a big Ridley Scott fan.  Thought it was good&#8211;I think the movie can be enjoyed on several different levels, just watching it on a surface level, or delving into the intricacies of the plot and characters and their motivations.  I was in the first mode last night, so I didn&#8217;t get my brain more involved than I had to, and it was a good standard epic picture.  Maybe the next time I see I&#8217;ll get more into the shifting loyalties and maneuverings and dependency paradoxes of the film.<\/p>\n<p>I took a few minutes this morning to cut and paste all our correspondance into a Word file and print it out, so I can clear her folder out of my email account.  89 pages, single-spaced, 10 point font (it&#8217;s a novel).  And that&#8217;s just since last September.
