Made it through today by the grace of God, and by Scott&#8217;s own admission, I &#8220;handled everything they threw at me.&#8221;  Felt like college again, at least a little bit&#8230;  What with the odd hours, staying up until something was finished or at least in a presentable state.  My throat felt terrible all day, though, and after discerning that it didn&#8217;t particularly like sugary foods, I made the mistake of buying hummus and pita bread for lunch as a change from my predominant diet of energy bars&#8230;  While good, the rigidity of the pita bread did not mesh well with the soreness of my mouth, and it got quite painful.  Things have simmered down a bit, though.<\/p>\n<p>Drove home in the light, grey rain&#8230;  Felt like the weather was having the same thoughts as I was.  Got home at 5:30 or so and tipped over the footboard of the bed and collapsed for three and a half hours.  Weird dreams about family friends and computer geeks&#8230;  Odd, fitful dreams.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>That was a heavy nap.
