I did not have a good day at work today. A few things were later than they should have been, and I’m working on the graduate school’s orientation manual, an utter waste of creativity and completely tedious, not to mention a few hundred pages long… I just have to flow new text in, and make changes to certain sections, and, and… It’s just one of those things.<\/p>\n
Had lunch at Ham’s on Franklin St. with my officemates, which nearly redeemed that part of the day, since the cajun chicken sandwich I had was really good, but somehow it didn’t quite do it. Conversation was great, but all surface, as was to be expected.<\/p>\n
I feel so paranoid at work sometimes. I thought that getting another job would erase anything residual from getting let go last summer, but it’s only by the grace of God that I had what I had then, and now. There’s just so much…in my mind, in my life, on my plate. I get, I get…overwhelmed. Quickly and easily. And the feeling creeps in that if I make one mistake, my position will be in jeopardy. Everybody has bad days, right? Bad weeks, even?<\/p>\n
