It was a brief trip, and most of what I saw was gray and of commercial substance.  I think I gleaned more of the area&#8217;s character from my glimpses of the neighborhoods and frozen ponds under the plane as it descended toward the runway.  Still, it was a productive, if lonely, trip.  Airports and shopping malls are filled with people on common purpose, but different destinations and reasons for travel, and it&#8217;s as invigorating and affirming as it is isolating, like a home constantly in motion, refusing to settle down, always just beyond my fingertips.  I feel a maelstrom of emotions:  Peace, excitement, contentment, purpose, restlessness\u2014much like I feel in France or another Place I Will Never Tire Of.  The feeling is more diffuse, but the difference in quantitative.  I wonder if there will be airports in heaven?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I discovered The Paper Kites today.  &#8220;Turns Within Me Turns Without Me&#8221; is breathtaking:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Paper Kites - Turns Within Me Turns Without Me (twelvefour)\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Qi-tShOGXbs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>They&#8217;re coming to Nashville in early May.  I wonder if I should get tickets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stella is parked on my legs, and Odin is very aggressively trying to sleep on my chest as I type this, offset to one side on the couch.
