I really should be writing my Ephesians paper… It’s due tomorrow at 9 p.m. I have a few ideas, but nothing concrete yet. *sigh* Car group this morning was great… A bunch of guys showed, albeit late, and we worked on Tim and Matt’s car for a little bit. The four-barrel Holley carb is having issues with random fuel gushers all over the hot intake manifold, so we thought it best to just leave it alone and let them tinker with it at home. They have extra parts and theories as to why it was doing what it was doing, so, yeah… I taught about clutches and explained how the carburetors on the Datsun work. I just had to share those little marvels of engineering.<\/p>\n
David’s play was last night. He was great. It’s a one-act that kind of chronicles a day in the life of a high school girl and the frustrations she goes through… Her desperation deteriorates to the point where she’s considering taking her life, but her grandmother talks her out of it by sharing her own experiences and sharing what it is that we do have to live for–Jesus Christ. It was poignant and powerful. David had a bit part as one of the “villains”–the jerk boyfriend who takes advantage of her. I’ll admit, it was a bit of jolt to my system to see him acting in that sort of role, but that in itself speaks of how well he did.
