I have to admit, Spannerhead.com has been taking all my time and creative energy.  I have to figure out how to apportion it so that my family recollections aren&#8217;t lost, a situation made all the more urgent by the fact that it&#8217;s been an eventful few months, family-wise.  If there is a silver lining, it&#8217;s the fact that the act of writing every day, whether here or on my other blog, make it less mentally cumbersome to just sit down and type.  I&#8217;m getting a lot of practice, in other words.<\/p>\n<p>So, briefly, let&#8217;s go over some highlights of the past few months:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>July 4 \u2014 Independence day, and the day Luke becomes a Christian.<\/li>\n<li>July 31 \u2014 Luke loses his first tooth.<\/li>\n<li>August 24 \u2014 Luke begins 1st grade at Lewisville Elementary, with Mrs Joyce.<\/li>\n<li>October 14-16 \u2014 Luke, Daddy and Granddad take his first camping trip with Cub Scouts to Raven Knob.  It&#8217;s freezing cold at night, but Luke has the time of his life.<\/li>\n<li>October 16 \u2014 Penelope names her small wind-up pumpkin-head robot &#8220;Robotitaco.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>More to come.
