It boggles the mind that the technology to make this possible was available in 1960 and we didn&#8217;t take advantage of it.  I&#8217;ve written before about the travesty that was, though the specific entry eludes me at the moment.<\/p>\n<p>On a completely unrelated note, I should mention that yesterday, for the first time entirely of his own volition, Luke pooped in the toilet!  This is a huge victory in the struggle to get him potty-trained.  He had been giving us the impression that he was apprehensive about going no.2, but during the day yesterday he approached Mommy and told her he had to go potty.  She accompanied him, expecting him to pee, something he&#8217;s almost mastered by this point.  But lo, she heard a few plops in the water and was elated to see brown things at the bottom of the bowl.  It&#8217;s been said before but it&#8217;s worth reiterating:  Until you have kids, you never realize just how exciting bodily functions can be.
