I&#8217;ve had &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Baba_O%27Riley\">Baba O&#8217;Riley<\/a>&#8221; going through my head all morning.  Not too pleasant in large doses&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>2. <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/2009_satellite_collision\">Interesting event today<\/a>.  I remember a while ago reading one of those raggedy library juvenile books about &#8220;the Future&#8221; written in 1977; you know, the kind that make predictions about robot usage in 1994 and the moon base in 2003.  One image that stood out was the Earth looking very much like Saturn, encircled by a ring of space debris from collided satellites and whatnot.  I think that might be one prediction that actually comes to pass, though when it reach that point and if there&#8217;s anything we can do to prevent it is anybody&#8217;s guess.<\/p>\n<p>3. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pcworld.com\/article\/159521\/10_ways_microsofts_retail_stores_will_differ_from_apple_stores.html\">Funny story<\/a> from PC World.  As a completely sold-out Mac and Linux user, Microsoft&#8217;s perennial blundering is always a source of amusement.  On a related note, have I mentioned lately how much I love Fedora 10?  The laptop and it are really a match made in heaven.  All applications open and run very quickly, navigation is easy, it boots up and shuts down at the speed of light and it seems rock-solid stable.
