I&#8217;m fortunate to work for a company that actually gives its employees the day off for their birthday; not only that, they give us the flexibility to choose the day as well (within reason).  I chose tomorrow to make it a nice long three-day weekend.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re visiting my parents tomorrow in Chapel Hill, and Diane and I have a date lined up for Saturday night: dinner and pops tickets to the NC Symphony.  I can&#8217;t remember what the show&#8217;s about, but it&#8217;s always a good time.<\/p>\n<p>Diane and Luke made some cupcakes (which the kids heartily enjoyed) and I received <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Spaceflight-Complete-Sputnik-Shuttle-Beyond\/dp\/140531818X\/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&#038;s=books&#038;qid=1232685311&#038;sr=8-10\"><i>Spaceflight<\/i><\/a>, a book that I checked out from the library recently and just fell in love with.  It&#8217;s chock full of details from every era and milestone in the history of space exploration.  The illustrations have to be seen to be believed&#8211;they have every space vehicle from Sputnik to Orion computer-modeled in truly stunning detail.  And there are beautiful photographs, bio, technical specifications.  It&#8217;s definitely worth owning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today was a wonderful 30th birthday.
