It&#8217;s the second (or possibly third) time that&#8217;s happened in the past few months.  Both times I remember thinking, during my dream, how much I loved that car.  It did see me through a lot.  And it <i>was<\/i> fun&#8211;I used to say that below 30 mph, the car was in its element.  It was light, the steering was sharp and the engine was torquey and flexible.  I think more than anything I really miss driving a stickshift&#8230;  Hmm.  Diane avoids driving the Saturn (my little commuter car) at all costs.  I wonder if I could&#8230;  No&#8211;there have been a handful of times where she&#8217;s needed to drive the automatic Saturn because I&#8217;ve had the Volvo, or for some other random reason.  Granted, that&#8217;s really only happened once or twice a year, and&#8230;  No.  Can&#8217;t do it.  No.<\/p>\n<p>In my dream, I drove Twinkie to <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Carmax\">Carmax<\/a> to trade it in for a newer Tercel, one of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Toyota_Tercel#Second_generation_.281983-1986.29\">the really boxy ones from the mid-&#8217;80s that was actually 4WD<\/a>.  They had two models, one a blue automatic sedan and a red wagon.  My preference was for the wagon, since it was more practical, and I looked through the back window to the front console to see if it was a stickshift, which it was.  I turned around to look at Twinkie, which had mysteriously become auburn-colored and very shiny.  Turning back to inspect the &#8220;new&#8221; Tercels, the sedan had become the manual one and the wagon had changed into the automatic car, which was frustrating&#8230;  That&#8217;s when I woke up, I think.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dreamed about Twinkie last night.
