I eschewed the highway for the local roads that would take me home.  I drove with the sunroof open to the night air, silhouettes of trees passing over constellations for the split seconds that I dared to look upward.  Still, my peripheral vision caught the spirit of the drive, and I felt free.  I felt clear.  I felt Yes as I thought about her and the good day we had today, and how very true for me are the verses, &#8220;The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places,&#8221; (Ps. 16:6a)  and, &#8220;I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.&#8221; (Ps. 27:13)  Oh, how I have already seen His goodness&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I drove home tonight under the starry sky.
