Rainy evening. Luke and I ventured out to the store around 6 for some sushi for dinner and got poured on upon our return to the car. But we had a good time. He loves the rain and helped me pick out some flowers for Diane. The rain falls harder now, into the wee hours of the morning before I slide over the two feet to my right and into bed. Driving home from her house, the storms clustered ’round, and the low clouds and ambient mist carried the brightness of the heat lightning, eerily illuminating the whole sky with each flash. I welcome the sense of safety offered by the house, a closed door and blankets at night, as the drops cascade down the eaves onto the ground all around.<\/p>\n
Good weekend. She went flying with me yesterday morning. She wasn’t scared at all, but loved it. It was just a short hop over to Lewisville, finding her house (which I had several times before), a short visit to Twin Lakes and then back to Sugar Valley. The landing at Twin Lakes was a little clunky, but certainly not unsafe, and the landing at Sugar Valley was a greaser, efficient and smooth. I was glad I was able to give her at least one. She took copious numbers of pictures on her cell phone and posted many here<\/a>. Some are from last weekend when Luke came out to the airport.<\/p>\n She has now been privy to just about every area of interest and current experience: Flying, working on cars, stargazing, worldview\/apologetics\/theology gatherings, art museums, concerts, movies and various and sundry other outings. It means the world to me that she would join me in all these things.
