Out of the bunch I took, these were the only <i>reasonably<\/i> presentable ones.<\/p>\n<p><!--more seas of light--><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.boldulysses.com\/old\/021606nightflight\/night3.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Out the left side of the airplane.  You can the lights reflecting off the underside of the wing.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.boldulysses.com\/old\/021606nightflight\/night2.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>In the dim glow of the instrument panel.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.boldulysses.com\/old\/021606nightflight\/night1.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>The majesty of&#8230;Greensboro.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, night flying was very beautiful, relaxing and fun, although it <i>was<\/i> harder to find the airports than I thought it&#8217;d be, especially with all the light congestion.  Landing was also interesting until I got the hang of it.  Rate of descent can be harder to judge with fewer visual cues.  But the air is smooth, traffic is sparse and easy to spot if at a higher altitude, and looking down at the sleepy world produces an emotion I don&#8217;t really have the words for right now.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I love my little digital camera, but boy does it need help taking low-light pictures.
