Well. This may be the beginning of the end of my long spell of singleness. She’s beautiful and intelligent and aware<\/i> and mature and has her priorities straight in life and we had the best conversation last night I’ve had in as long as I can remember, and we only talked for about an hour. I walked around on the front porch in the cool, late evening as we chatted. It was just breezy enough and the moon shone through the naked branches of the front yard’s oak tree as I listened to her wonderful voice on the other end of the line. Perfect.<\/p>\n
It still scares the tar out of me, though to a lesser degree than it did last week pre-date. This weekend will be a bit of a family audition as I’ve been invited to the house, so she’s certainly not easing the apprehension any. But so far it’s gone better than I could have ever hoped. Late last week I told myself this could either be a perfect fit or a big mistake, and so far it has all the earmarks of the former, much to my relief.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
