And the rain is off… Washing the pollen down the storm drains after the grey monotony that took up residence overhead this morning.

I despise and loathe the Freshman Advising Guide. This is quite possibly the single most monotonous thing I’ve had to put together here… Thirty-odd pages of dry, bland formatting. It’s enough to drive one insane after just a few hours, hence the periodic breaks.

I don’t know what to write in here anymore. It’s all a bunch of bunk. I can never formulate my thoughts into what I’m trying to say anymore, it seems. A part of me wants to go on and expound about how I feel, how the weekend was, and especially about Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, which I saw on a whim with friends on Friday night, but… Another part of me, stronger at the moment, is repelled by the thought of more sappy drivel, more self-indulgent prose that makes it sound like I know what I’m talking about. I think about things; sure, but it’s all bloody academic. I could expostulate on the worldviews of this or that, or the symbolism behind such-and-such, but…I don’t know. I heated up some pita bread during that last ellipsis and I lost my train of thought.

In any case, in spite of everything, I’ll still keep writing in here. It’s just, well, come back, muse… Heh. Actually what the issue probably touches on is that I’ve just been so tired of my own inaction lately in the face of things I should be doing, accomplishing, addressing–and recording the mudane events of my daily life in here only serves to reinforce my stagnation to myself, to throw it back in my face, something I’m obviously not overeager to do. Maybe when things quiet down, start moving, get done, I’ll have more substance. In the meantime… Hands through hair, exhale… No words.
