minor notes
1. Finally watched the little DVD that came with my best of 1990-2000 U2 cd… There’s a video of “Beautiful Day” shot at Eze, in southern France. Brought back memories, especially with the overexposed and grainy quality of some of the images, bringing out the colors and the light.
2. Going up to Boston with Donald at the beginning of next month and staying with my aunt and uncle in Framingham for a few days. It’ll be a nice road trip and a good chance to relax and see my relatives, not to mention Boston. Donald’s going to bring his digital camcorder–he wants to document everything. I want to visit at least the aquarium and the science museum. I’m just hoping we won’t get caught in a blizzard or something. Well, if we do, it’ll just make for an interesting story. That’s the whole road trip spirit, right?
3. Finished my first real job for the new GD business. My client was overjoyed and very pleased with my work. That was a nice feeling, even if some of my creative leanings as far as the layout and graphics didn’t exactly go over. Always more conservative… Well, I have a cd liner note project coming up pretty soon–I’ll be a good deal more edgy with that.
4. God’s really been putting a burden on my heart for some of the guys in my car group, specifically, Michael Fuller. I want to invite him over to just hang out, maybe go grab a bite to eat, or something. I really want to invest in these guys’ lives, not just small talk about cars for a couple of hours every week in a group setting.
