Juggling job possibilities at the moment… I have a secure, but interim job at GNC with the greatest boss in the world, Ed, another job that I’ve been hired for but haven’t started yet at a Mazda dealership working in the service department (i.e. mechanic), and the reason I haven’t started there yet: The third job possibility, a well-paying job at Caterpillar down in Sanford doing computer modeling. I’ve had to be as diplomatic as possible to all three parties, and it’s been difficult at times, but glory to Him that He’s holding it all together. The coolest part came earlier this evening, as I learned that my best friend is working with the very same Caterpillar plant in Sanford on his senior design project, so he knows many of the guys who work there. It would be amazing to be there and spend time with him more frequently, an antidote to the six months or so that I was in Florida, for sure. We’ll see what happens.
The second meeting of my car group is coming up this Saturday. I know guys will show up this time, as opposed to last weekend when my garage was woefully empty of activity. For some reason I’m more psyched about this time around than I was last week. It might just be my mood at the moment, or maybe last week I went through the preparations, kind of a rehersal, so this time I have less to worry about. I’m not sure.
