I’m quite tired. Enough for a good, solid tired sigh, to be sure. *sigh* There we go.
Got up today at 6 to pray; didn’t go back to sleep this time, but went running with Erin, albeit for a short distance. We’re both getting back into our little fitness routines, though, so it’s perfectly understandable. I got home and had breakfast, and read the Word some, only to promptly conk out, and be woken by Mr. Cureton (Mike), my new mentor, call me on his cell phone and tell me he was waiting outside the house in his car… He runs a janitorial service to supplement the small income he receives from creating and heading up an organization in Chapel Hill to help out kids in the projects… I helped him clean an apartment today. It was great just to spend time with him. He’s an amazing man, with an incredible heart and enthusiasm… I learned a lot just by spending time with him, the main goal of the whole endeavor. He took me out to lunch afterwards and we talked theology over Hardee roast beef sandwiches. It was great. More later; we have company for dinner tonight.
