The High Point job didn’t work out. Even though I think I wouldn’t have been as thrilled as I made out if I had gotten the job, it still hurts. I felt discouraged, and frustrated, and angry. It was especially acute this morning, but the emotion has lessened since.
I was a frustrated this morning since I got up rather late and found that every other person of driving age in the house had taken a car, leaving me with my two non-functional automobiles. I didn’t make it to church, but had a good time with God nevertheless. That’s the main reason the frustration and anxiousness has lessened. The Datsun needed some attentionn directed towards its brakes, and the Supra still needs a new alternator. Got the Datsun situation figured out this afternoon, so thank goodness that’s solved. Of course, it was just in time for the fan shroud to come loose and make the most awful racket as I was driving back from the gas station, where the price of air for the tires is now 50 cents, instead of being free, darn it. Well, there goes my patronage. Hmph.
Yeah, it’s one of those days.
