Apologies for the style change. I’m not a big fan of the current layout/look, but it’s what came with a style update necessary to access certain options that will (hopefully) give me more control over the journal’s look and feel. The new suffernfamily.com is under heavy construction at the moment and the plan is to seamlessly integrate this journal when all’s said and done. So I’ve been poking around LiveJournal a little bit, probing its strengths and weaknesses as far as that’s concerned. And the news so far is not good, I’m sorry to say. I kept a journal on Blogger for a couple of years after we were married and it was much, much easier to integrate into our website. The stylesheet was obviously fully customizable, but the kicker was that the source code was as well, so I could delete or comment out sections that weren’t needed. It was very easy to use. I’ve a good mind to contact the LJ gurus and ask if something similar is possible. In a perfect world I’d even like a redirect so people visiting this page would be automatically forwarded to our new site once it’s up, but I’ll settle for just being able to integrate it the way I want to. We’ll see.
