deux mille neuf
Had a wonderful, wonderful dinner earlier tonight with Donald, his wife Rebekah, Stephen and his wife Truly. They’re longtime friends of mine (Donald and Stephen and I were flatmates back in the day) and it was great to see them again and catch up. We ate at Tosca Restaurant in downtown Durham, a new-ish Italian restaurant, privately-owned and distinctively decorated. The table, food, atmosphere, music and company were just perfect and we had a great time. My parents babysat Luke and Pen and we were grateful for that too. It was nice to be able to go out as a couple on New Year’s Eve for a little bit, even if it wasn’t just the two of us, which kinds of dates we definitely need more of.
