One of my favorite websites is Airliners.net. Most nights, after I put Luke to bed, I’ll have a seat at the computer and thumb through the day’s new pictures. There’s some phenomenal photography on that site, no doubt about it. For a guy who, growing up, treasured his collection of airplane-related literature above almost all else, it’s a treasure trove.
You can search for photos using almost any criteria, whether it be by airplane, airline, registration number, airport or anything else, really. Some of the best photographs come from Princess Juliana International Airport in the Netherlands Antilles. It’s rightly famous among plane spotters for its close access to the runway.
