I’m drawing again, and the drawings are coming out well. I enjoy it so much more than wasting away behind a computer screen all day, even if I am standing up all day behind the drawing board instead of sitting at my desk. I think it’s something about working with my hands (other than clicking a mouse, of course). Carl, the manager for the Mainship line, is an industrial designer with many, many years of experience in the marine field behind him. He can also draw like anything. I’ve been asking him for tips and borrowing drawing supplies. After I mount the illustrations on some poster board tomorrow, they’ll be ready for the focus group meeting on Tuesday. Nice. Job satisfaction: Check.

Aaron and Craig are visiting in a week and a half. That’ll be fun. Knowing Aaron, he’ll want to run every day that they’re here, and spend several hours in the gym. Knowing Craig, however, he’ll agree with me that they’re here to relax, and just to cool it. That’s the way it was when we went camping, at least. We had a lot of fun, and I’m sure we will this time around too. Perhaps we could even have a tinkering session with the car. I need to invest in a floor jack and stands, but I’m already over my monthly budget.

Back to the markers and templates :o)
