Gravity
So, Luke is obsessed with the planets as of late. A fact which suits his daddy just fine, I might also add. Among the trivia I have been privy to learning second-hand, one was the to-size relationship between Jupiter and Earth. Just, wow.

Perhaps this picture astounds me because of the unrealistic proximity of earth to Jupiter, but, point is: I had no idea that we were so breathtakingly small.
But, but, we are so advanced! We are so technologically savvy, so wise, so important.
I felt like a happy fool, seeing this massive beauty beyond our own atmosphere...our world. And, it reminded me of the immensity of our God. Who can deny Him when faced with this immutable fact? We are a glint on the span of eternity...and His purposes are so beyond ours...to know and know that the one that is not even contained by the entirety of the cosmos (no, Carl Sagan, it isn't all there is, thankfully) would pierce through all of time and space and matter as a single body in the center of our linear experience. Oh, the novelty of this plan...the humility of this mission! Why did He trade all that in the heavens for a small life for us?
And will I get to see this creator? Will I actually understand these mysteries? It is completely unfathomable. How do we/can we continually gaze upon this truth through these thin eyes and 10% brains without having to avert them to lesser things? Just as I cannot understand why anyone does not see the hand of a creator in the designed universe we live in, content to play in proverbial sandboxes when truth is there for the taking, I fully know that even with this glimpse of Him, how easy it is to return to trivial stock. Again, isn't it the same battle between particulars and universals, waging not in Grecian philosophical forums but within the individual? It is grace alone that separates us from the "lost" who have no sight. But, still, are we not still divided men as Paul explains in Romans 7? Until we see Him, we will remain fragmented, unable to fully dig into these mysteries with full-brains and hearts comprehending. Oh, for the redemption of our bodies!
I'm tired.
